Tinfoil Girl

Tinfoil Girl

I’d like to tell a little tale,
A tale about a girl
Who loved tinfoil more
Than anything in this whole world

This girl was clever as a fox,
and sharp as any nail
She used tinfoil to cover boxes,
Wrap her gifts, and send her mail
In foiled pots her plants survived
Her dished, tinned, still shined
In varied foils she’d stylized
Her house, her life, her blue green eyes

“Recyclable, so likeable, and great in every way!
She sang her tinfoil tribute at the start of every day

Find something you love and run with it
Find joy in every dime
It’s just your life, have fun with it
It soon runs out of time
Be all you can and then some more
Be joyful just to be
This tinfoil tale just goes to show
Do what you can to be happy

A bungee loving man adored
The strength, the stretch of bungee cord
His bungees strung up pots & pans
And all his worldly things
He liked to make small projects
From his wide array of strings
Including things like slingshots
For tiny balls of foil

“So flexible, impeccable, and strong in every way!”
He sang his bungee ballad at the start of every day

Find something you love and run with it
Find joy in every dime
It’s just your life, have fun with it
It soon runs out of time
Be all you can and then some more
Be joyful just to be
This bungee tale just goes to show
Do what you can to be happy

One fateful day, he flung away
Another ball of foil
It landed in the green front yard
Of tiny Tinfoil Girl
So Bungee man went down the road
To see where it had gone
And found the tiny Tinfoil Girl
Smiling on her lawn

They leapt with joy to find each other
of similar heart and soul

Find something you love and run with it
Find joy in every dime
It’s just your life, have fun with it
It soon runs out of time
Be all you can and then some more
Be joyful just to be
This tinfoil bungee love tale just goes to show
Do what you can
Do what you can just to be happy
