"While on a recent trip to New York... I had with me my Canon 7D camera and what's become my "sound studio in a backpack" which I take with me on trips in order to still record voice over jobs while I'm away.
While hanging out with my incredibly talented singer/songwriter friend Kathleen Smith, in her East Village apartment, a simple conversation about the importance of music, turned into an impromptu recording session.
A well placed lamp... A precariously perched shotgun microphone... And two simple takes, back to back, of a deeply heartfelt performance of her song "Fire In My Heart" yielded this video; beautifully capturing an unexpected and perfectly spontaneous musical performance." - Christopher Emerson
